things i've learned this past month

yesterday, trevor and i celebrated our one month-iversary! he brought me home flowers and my favorite cinnamon rolls. i cleaned out the spare bedroom? to be fair, he had mentioned it should be our chore for the week. to be even more fair, there was a lot to clean out. onward! married life is awesome. you get to hang out with your best friend nearly 24/7, use wedding gift cards to buy kitty t-shirts, have sexy time, watch TV every night, and you get to squeeze your husband's butt in public. (okay, you don't actually get to but you can and people can't judge you because you're married to that butt!) it's amazing.

here is a list of things i've learned in the past month of being married:

communication is super important.

boys fart a lot.

trevor only gets mad at inanimate objects. i.e.- faulty sprinkler systems, screwdrivers, and the like.

there are snails in utah? and they like to eat flowers and drink beer. a lot.

husbands want dinner every night. like, a real home-made meal because apparently mcdonald's doesn't count.

people really like my new last name. but for real, more than bentley?

you can live an entire day looking forward to one single moment.

the show, derek, on netflix is really good. surprisingly emotional.

you can make a lot of meals with chicken and brown rice.

LDS married student wards have babies. don't babies = family ward?

skyler, is thee worst.

i really love my husband.

applying for pell grants is the pits.

i'm really bad at doing homework. although, admittedly, i'm pretty sure i already knew that.

eternity with trevor is gonna be fun.

  1. Married student wards just have a nursery. Once the kids are too old for nursery, you 'graduate' into a family ward. Haha we go to a married student, and we love it. So don't hate on the babies! ;)

Also, applying for grants sucks, but getting the money is totally worth it.

    1. haha Totally not hating on the babies! I just thought it would be married couples only. We sat down the first week and I whispered to Trevor, "There are babies... Are we in the wrong ward?"

Can't wait to get the grants though!
