bathroom makeover

okay. i did it again. i relapsed into the life of a not-blogging-blogger. i think that's common, right? anyway, i realized (for the millionth time!) that i don't take enough pictures and so most of my posts become ranting tangents without any fun photos. total bummer.

i'm trying to become a better blogger.

a few weeks back i painted our bathroom. cabinets, walls, doors, trims, everything. it took me all week but i think it looks a million times better. this time i was sure to get 'before' pics. of course, i had already cleared and prepped everything by the time i remembered so sorry the 'befores' look so trashy. fortunately it just helps to make the 'afters' that much better!

i repainted the walls from the gross yellowy-green to a slightly blue white color. i wanted the room to be really clean feeling and so a white wall seemed like the only choice! i painted the trims all to super white so you could see a contrast between the wall color and trim. the cabinet and shelf were my favorite projects. i chose to paint them chartreuse, one of my all-time favorite colors, so that the room would have a punch. i hope to add more to it but for now i think just the clean look and bright, inviting color-scheme is a huge improvement!
